讲座人介绍:
吕雪虹博士 (比较高等教育学、二外习得语言教学法)
美国杨百翰大学语言学硕士; 美国杨百翰大学TESL硕士。美国纽约州立大学布法罗分校比较高等教育学博士。现任美国纽约州立布法罗大学语言学系中国语言与文化教学部主任及教授。
负责布法罗大学中文语言教学、中华文化通识课程教学、中国学、以及对外汉语教师培训项目。发表论文2部、编著教学教材6部、建立网络教学站3个、发表学术论文5篇,在美国及国际学术会议上宣读学术论文11篇。吕雪虹博士为多个布法罗私立公立大学汉语及中华文化教学项目顾问及讲座培训教授,现任布法罗学区中文教师教授协会会长。
2005年至今为首都师范大学讲座教授、首师大-布法罗大学留学项目主任。2016年应聘为华中科技大学国家治理研究院特聘研究员、2017年应聘为山东烟台鲁东大学特聘教授。
讲座内容介绍:
Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, The new perspectives and approaches in multicultural and multilingual universities
This presentation introduces course offerings in Chinese language at American Universities such as University at Buffalo, Brigham Young University, and Columbia University, and their procedures, standards in evaluating language instructors' classroom teaching. The presenter believes that a curriculum at a specific institution must meet its students' needs and must aim at accomplishing the educational goals the institution has set for itself. The presentation pays particular attention to the course offerings to the non-heritage students, the heritage learners and to students who study Chinese for professional purposes (content-based).
The lecture also argues that the success of a well-designed curriculum depends on a high quality faculty. The development of high quality teachers is an endless, continuous process that requires knowledge integration of all related fields and the subjects. To help teachers grow well, a program needs a well-designed evaluation procedure that is guided by sound theories of language acquisition and language pedagogy.
